Mastering French, One Conversation at a Time

We’re Parlez French Limited, and we’ve been helping Canadians discover the joy of speaking French since 2019. No grammar-only drills. No intimidating textbooks. Just real people learning real conversation.

Modern language learning classroom with diverse students engaged in conversation practice

How Parlez French Limited Started

We didn’t start with a grand vision. Our founder, a teacher frustrated with outdated methods, saw too many students memorizing verb conjugations without ever actually talking. That gap bothered her. So she built something different.

The Problem We Saw

Traditional French programs focused on rules and structure. They didn’t prepare people for real conversation. Beginners could conjugate “être” perfectly but couldn’t order coffee or introduce themselves.

Our First Class

We started small. Ten people. One room. Real conversations from day one. No textbooks for the first month. Just speaking, listening, making mistakes, and laughing about them together.

Where We Are Now

We’ve taught over 800 Canadians in the past five years. They’re office workers, students, parents, retirees. What they’ve got in common? They actually speak French now. They’re not just studying it.

The Conversation-First Method

We’re not hiding behind theory. Parlez French Limited’s approach puts you in actual conversations from lesson one. Grammar makes sense when you need it for speaking, not before.

Real Dialogue

Forget worksheets. You’re practicing conversations you’ll actually have — ordering food, making friends, talking about your day. Practical phrases from week one.

Active Listening

Your ear trains faster when you hear native speakers regularly. We use authentic content and recordings so your brain adapts to real Canadian French accents.

Small Groups Matter

Maximum six people per class. That’s not random. Everyone speaks. No one hides in the back. You get correction and confidence in the same lesson.

Grammar When You Need It

We don’t skip grammar — we introduce it naturally. You’ll understand why French works the way it does, not just memorize rules that seem random.

Why Beginners Trust Parlez French Limited

We specialize in exactly what you need: French basics and conversation skills designed for Canadian learners. Whether you’re picking up French for the first time or building from scattered knowledge, we’ve got structured paths that actually work.

Our instructors aren’t just fluent — they’re trained specifically in teaching beginner conversation. They’ve watched hundreds of people go from “Bonjour, je m’appelle…” to having real conversations. They know where you’ll get stuck. They know how to unstick you.

What We Actually Believe

These aren’t mission statement buzzwords. They’re how we run every class, every lesson, every conversation.

Speaking First

You don’t learn to swim from a textbook. Language is the same. You learn French by speaking it, not by analyzing it. Yes, you’ll understand grammar — but you’ll speak it first.

Mistakes Are Progress

Wrong conjugation? Backwards sentence? Perfect. That’s where learning happens. We celebrate attempts, not just correct answers. You’ll never feel ashamed for trying.

Pace That Works for You

Everyone learns differently. Some people need more time on pronunciation. Others are ready to move faster. We don’t follow a rigid schedule — we follow your progress.

Real, Useful French

Not museum French. Not theoretical French. You’re learning the French Canadians actually speak — in Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, and beyond.

Important Information

The learning methods and strategies described on this website are based on educational best practices and our experience teaching French to Canadian learners. However, individual learning outcomes depend on many factors including personal dedication, prior language experience, consistency with practice, and individual learning styles. While we’ve documented the progress of hundreds of students, success and fluency timelines vary by person. We recommend viewing shared experiences and testimonials as examples of possible outcomes rather than guaranteed results. Language learning is a gradual process that requires consistent effort and practice beyond the classroom.
